SSAR Roundtable
On Monday, 30 June, Rich Seigel and Ken Dodd will host an informal roundtable discussion on the controversy surrounding the use of Habitat Conservation Plans and Conservation Agreements in the Endangered Species process. These programs have engendered considerable debate and misunderstandings (not to mention numerous lawsuits) and a discussion on their merits and problems should be on interest to anyone involved in conservation biology. The title of this Roundtable is:
The roundtable will start with brief presentations by four speakers: C. Kenneth Dodd, Jr. (USGS/BRD), Ted Koch (U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service), Andy Price (Texas Parks and Wildlife), and Dale Turner (Univ. Of Arizona). Following the presentations, we will open the floor for discussion, questions, and debate.
