ASIH 1997 Joint Meetings
Posters

Time for oral presentations is limited, so we encourage you to consider a poster exhibit, especially if you are making multiple presentations. Poster exhibits offer a greater opportunity for interaction between presenter and audience than do oral papers. A larger audience is likely to view a poster, and a poster allows considerably greater flexibility in presentation. Poster presentations require submission of an abstract, in the same format as for oral papers (see Submitting Abstracts). Poster presenters will be notified of their session assignment, and the times during which they must be present at the poster, by mail after acceptance of abstracts. Maximum size is four feet (height) by six feet (width). Boards made of white, construction grade, foam insulation will be erected back to back. Presenters will be responsible for bringing their own pins and/or other materials to secure posters to the boards. Student presenters who are members of ASIH should consider registering for the ASIH Storer Awards for best student poster.
Posters will be presented in the Upper Husky Den on the second floor of the HUB. There will be three sessions, each lasting a day and a half: Session 1: Friday, June 27, 1:30-5:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 28, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Session 2: Sunday, June 29, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Monday, June 30, 8:00 a.m.-noon; and Session 3: Monday, June 30, 1:30-5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 1, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Presenters are asked to be with their posters to answer questions from 9:00-11:00 a.m. for odd-numbered posters or 2:00-4:00 p.m. for even-numbered posters on Saturday (Session 1), Sunday (Session 2), or Tuesday (Session 3). Presenters are also asked to have their posters in place well before the start of their session and to remove them immediately after their time is up.
