How to Participate

Registration
To register, please complete the conference registration form (registration via e-mail is not accepted) on the inside back cover of the Call for Papers, indicating your interest in banquets, the salmon barbecue at the UW Waterfront Activities Center, field trips, t-shirts, group photos, etc. Additional copies of the Call for Papers can be obtained by contacting UW Extension Services, asih@u.washington.edu. To take advantage of pre-registration rates, your completed registration form and all fees must be postmarked by March 15, 1997. On-site registration will take place on the second floor of the UW Student Union Building (HUB), beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 26.
Accommodations
University residence halls are available for conference delegates who wish to stay on the UW campus. To request accommodations on campus, complete the UW Conference Housing Registration Form on page 16 of the Call for Papers. The completed form and payment must be postmarked by May 30, 1997. After this date, rooms are on a space-available basis only. Many alternative, off-campus, accommodations are available.
Paper or Poster Presentations
If you plan to present a paper or poster, please follow the instructions for Submitting Abstracts. Abstracts must be sent by March 15, 1997. We are limited to 650 oral presentations and 176 posters.
Symposia, Workshops, and Student Awards
A number of symposia and workshops are planned. To participate, please contact the organizers immediately. For student awards (see list in Table of Contents), please check eligibility requirements and indicate your interest when submitting your abstract.
