
ASIH 1997 Joint Meetings
Banquets, Receptions, and Other Events

On Thursday evening, June 26, the Big Time Brewing Company and College Inn, both located on the "Ave" (University Way NE) will be the focus of food, drink, and entertainment. Both establishments offer a wide variety of local microbrews on draught.
The General Reception, free to all registrants, will be held on Friday, June 27, from 6:00-11:00 p.m., in the foyer of Meany Hall on the UW campus. Food and drink will be provided, along with live music by Ray Troll and Russell Wodehouse, the "Rappin' Ratfish Brothers." A variety of multimedia presentations will also be presented at various times throughout the evening (see below schedule):
The Graduate Student Reception, free of charge to all student registrants, will be held on Saturday, June 28, on the balcony of the McMahon Residence Hall. Live music, food, and beverages will be provided.
The UW Waterfront Activities Center, located on the shores of Union Bay on the southeast corner of campus will be the site of a Salmon Barbecue on Sunday evening, June 29. The cost per attendee is $40.
The ASIH Equal Participation Committee Lunch Meeting and Panel Discussion will be held on Sunday, June 29, at Ivar's Salmon House. Buses will depart from the front of the Student Union Building on Stevens Way at 11:45 a.m. Please indicate your interest on the registration form.
The ELHS-AFS and AES Banquets will take place simultaneously on Monday evening, June 30, at the UW Center for Urban Horticulture and the UW Faculty Club, respectively, at a cost of $40 per person.
The ASIH/HL/SSAR/GIS Banquet will be held on Tuesday evening, July 1, in the UW Husky Union Building (HUB) Ballroom. The menu will include grilled halibut at a cost of $40 per person. There will be a social hour preceding the banquet.
