1995 Annual GIS Meeting

The Gilbert Ichthyological Society held its seventh annual meeting October 6-8 at the Pack Forest Conference Center, near Mt. Rainier, Washington. Fifty-five GIS Fellows and guests were in attendance. The business meeting was held Friday evening and was followed by a social gathering. Nineteen papers were presented on Saturday, on topics spanning the history of ichthyology, fisheries biology, general ecology, behavior, systematic and evolutionary biology, and other disciplines. On Saturday evening we enjoyed an extraordinary salmon barbeque, along with a selection of very fine beverages. The excellent accommodations and beautiful physical setting contributed to a memorable experience for all attendees. Special thanks to Jay Orr for organizing such a successful meeting, and to Andy Shedlock and Dave Crispin for arranging for the beverages.
